Your Best Is All You Can Do

There are tasks that need to get done in almost every workplace that are not written in your job description however your boss is looking for those employees that will do what they are asked to do or needs to be done. This is not to say you over-commit or accept an assignment without letting your boss know, that possibly you will need additional resources or support to make it happen. Also if you know it to be a bad or unsafe idea you should express it as such. Then old adage of if you don’t have anything good to say just don’t say anything at all may apply.
